Line Pressure Loss Estimator

Estimate the pressure drop along a hydraulic line to avoid undersized piping and excessive losses.

Line Pressure Loss Estimator

Estimate pressure drop along a hydraulic pipe length (excluding fittings).

Simplified Darcy-Weisbach estimate. Add ~30% for fittings and bends.

How It Works

Fluid flowing through a pipe loses pressure due to friction with the pipe wall. This loss depends on flow velocity, pipe diameter, length and fluid viscosity.

Excessive pressure loss wastes energy and generates heat. This tool gives a first-pass estimate — remember to account for bends and fittings with an additional safety margin.
